Dec. 7, 2007 — Break Out
The older, more powerful males from the island Hamlet previously inhabited have figured out the electric fence bordering Orangutan Island is not working and they are looking for some mischief. How will the young community defend themselves? Even though Bandit Boys Mogok and Milo stand up to the escapees when they attempt to hoard food, but in the end, it is ultimately Daisy who fearlessly protects the community.
Also, Chen Chen becomes anxious and asserts his dominance by brutally attacking Cha Cha. Daisy rescues her best friend but Cha Cha flees deep into the forest and even after the escapees are captured, Cha Cha is still nowhere to be found. Has Chen Chen's beating caused her to isolate herself from the community?

Nov. 2, 2007 — New Beginnings
Meet the young orangutans who are simultaneously starring in their own tv show and learning how to survive and live in a social community on an island in Borneo. The orphaned red apes are introduced to the island after being rescued and taught survival skills by the Nyaru Menteng Rescue and Reintroduction Center. Cha Cha goes into a funk, depressed at being separated from her humans at the Forest School, while Daisy seems to thrive. Saturnus tries to become the island's ladies' man — but the ladies fail to take him seriously.

Nov. 9, 2007 — The Intruder
Signs of an orangutan society begin to emerge, but an intruder lurks. Is the stranger a threat? Hamlet, an older male orangutan from a nearby island, makes off with Jasmine in an attempt to attain dominance over the young orangutans. Saturnus, who seems to be smitten with Jasmine, gamely, but ineffectively, tries to save her, but it takes Daisy and the Bandit Boys to bring Jasmine home safely. The cooperative behavior seen in Jasmine's rescue is unusual behavior for orangutans.

Nov. 16, 2007 — Lost
The wet season arrives, creating flooding and danger for the young orangutans, who must face threats they've never experienced before. Saturnus entertains himself with a toy near the rising river, while Oyoy seems to recognize the danger. Mogok goes missing — has he simply taken himself away for some solitude, or is he in serious trouble? When the rescuers search for Mogok, they discover that Oyoy is also missing. Meanwhile, Chen Chen's status is challenged when Hamlet (the intruder) returns.

Nov. 30, 2007 — Lessons Learned, Lessons Lost
The community now numbers 34 after an unexpected loss and the rainy season continues relentlessly. The inexperienced orangutans are still trying to figure things out — some learn new survival skills while others forget crucial lessons already learned.
Unexpectedly, Hamlet becomes a role model as the group learns to imitate his effective method of foraging for food in the flood waters. Meanwhile, Chen Chen keeps out of Hamlet's sight on the platform, hanging out with his long-time friend Donald. But when Donald ventures out to look for food, the darkness and rising flood waters leave him scared and disoriented. Will Chen Chen realize Donald is missing and go searching for him? Cha Cha ignores vital lessons she's learned and lets her curiosity lead her into a dangerous playdate with a snake. Then meet Jordan, a bit of a social outcast whose fond memories of being bottlefed could turn out to be deadly.
